A unique collaboration of five of Australia's most exciting imported wine portfolios at one of Melbourne's best venues Poodle Bar & Bistro.

Journey through 60+ wines from the hottest wine regions in France, Italy , Spain & Germany – with the importers themselves on hand pouring to you.

On tasting will be wines from Burgundy, Chablis, Piedmont, Jura, Sicily, Beaujolais, Savoie, Rioja, Mosel, Tuscany, The Loire & further afield.

Ticket reimbursed with wine purchases of $250 on the night.

PS Wine Selections - Pierre Stock, Director of PS Wine Selections brings over 25 years of experience within the food and wine industry. Pierre's career started with a role at one of the most lauded establishments in France, where he worked at Chez Paul Bocuse for 1 years. He then spent 8 years working in some of the top restaurants in London - Le Caprice, Atlantic and Racine. Pierre moved to Australia in 2008 and has worked in Front of House roles at some of Melbourne's favourite restaurants including Pearl, Vue Du Monde and the French stalwart France-Soir. Pierre worked as France-Soir's sommelier and wine buyer for 10 years, and together with Jean-Paul Prunetti established a French-wine importing business France-Soir Wine Selections. In April 2022, Pierre took sole directorship of the importing operation, which he’s since rechristened Pierre Stock Wine Selections.

Larkin Imports - Larkin Imports was established in 2016, to bring new and exciting wines into Australia. It is my ethos to only collaborate with growers who work organically in the vineyards, and with a very minimalistic approach in the cellar. Quality is paramount, whether the wine is terroir driven or just for pure enjoyment. My aim is to provide my customers with a wide range of styles and varieties - something for everyone, no matter their preference. All wines are carefully selected by myself and shipped to Australia in temperature-controlled containers. They are then rested after shipping, tasted, and only sold once I feel they are ready. I have a huge respect for the amount of work that goes into producing a bottle of wine, and it is essential that the customer sees each wine at its optimum condition. I hope you and your customers enjoy the fruits of these hard-working people's labour. .

The Standard Wine Co - We’re proud to represent a variety of renowned Italian vineyards to Australia. The Standard Wine Co. is the dream of founder and Head of Wine, Piero Fonseca, who grew up on his family’s Tuscan wine estate, Petreto. Since arriving in Australia, his passion for wine and the hospitality industry continued to grow where he held various roles as Head Sommelier and was involved in restaurant management. Piero joined Lario in 2017, a leading fine food and wine importer based in Sydney. After 4 intense years of success, expansion and learning, it was time to bring Lario’s wines under his own wing. Supported by Gianmarco Balestrini, who launched Lario in the early 2000s, Piero has put together a team of experts including Halkin Ventures General Manager, Bailey Myers to help achieve his vision of providing access to the finest quality wines and a truly authentic experience. This company is inspired by the many memories of food, wine and family life.

Carpe Vino - focuses on family-owned estates in classic regions producing traditional wines. Wines are made with minimal intervention and highlight some of the world's great terroirs.

Ethereal Wines - is an importer primarily of artisan wines from Burgundy & Piedmont. Director Rody Hall travels & tastes in each region regularly - believing that sourcing wines should emanate from cellar & vineyard visits not from trade shows in large halls. The focus is always on quality not quantity & sustainable viticultural practices. Ethereal Wines believes wines should be a combination of an embodiment of the land where they were grown & the soul of the families that produced them.
