100% Moscato vinified as a dry wine & raised in amphora & sealed under screwcap.  ‘Quattro Filari’ means five rows, as Monchiero have just five rows of Moscato. The nose puts you in mind of the Loire with scents of gooseberry. It’s very floral & perfumed.  A beautiful texture and mouthfeel with a glycerol like feel from the amphora. A lick of wild thyme & aniseed.  A long pulsating finish of excellent length.  Now seven vintages in, Monchiero are really mastering these dry Moscato bottlings. Idiosyncratic but delicious stuff.
