90 Points, Neal Martin. Vinous - "The 2024 Mâcon-Igé, which comes from slightly more clayey soils, has a perfumed nose with scents of white peach, rose petal and crushed stone. The palate is very well balanced with a little more weight than the Mâcon-Verzé due to the higher clay content. Yet the season infuses this with strictness and linearity; it is reassuringly long in the mouth, with a tingle of spice on the aftertaste."

Sourced from 47 year old certified organic vines on clay-limestone from the village of Igé selected for their eastern exposure. 100% Stainless Steel elevage.

The nerve and tension of the 2024 growing season is on show here. Pulsing and energetic Chardonnay but not purely straight – there’s curves here too with lovely texture & mouthfeel.  Spearmint & white flowers on the nose, the palate is citrus driven & very focussed.  Concurrently savoury & generous. It’s fine White Burgundy and not the least for this price point.  Excellent stuff from Nicolas here.
