93 Points, Tip Top Tipple, Top Value – Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) – “Fresh strawberry and raspberry, cut fennel, a dusting of white pepper and spice, some rosy perfume too. It’s light to medium-bodied, has spice and a crispness to acidity, a light dusty and raw grainy feel to tannin offers gentle but firm traction, with a subtle sappy sour cherry finish of good length. It’s atypical for Nebbiolo in a way, but the frisky spicy pleasure and drinking appeal is so high here. I love it, though bear in mind that I’m a Pelaverga enthusiast of the highest order, and it’s kind of like that in a way. Rejoice in vintage variation.”

Our notes - a softer plusher release from a mild growing season.  It’s a lighter & very red-fruited release with strawberry & cranberry, it’s juicy & bright.  There’s some alpine herbs & the gentlest whiff of white pepper.  The tannins are fine and sculpted.  Very much Nebbiolo but a little Red Burgundy shape & hints of Pelaverga through its delicate spice line. Delicate & 'ethereal'.
