91 Points, Neal Martin. Vinous. - "The 2024 Mâcon-Verzé, which is the main cuvée of the domaine, comes from a scattering of parcels of vine located mid-slope on more limestone soils than the Mâcon-Igé. Matured in enamel-lined vats, it has a fine, cool, crushed-stone-led bouquet that maintains strictness and focus. The palate is well balanced with a squeeze of lime and Granny Smith apples, gaining more weight towards the finish that exerts just the right amount of grip."

100% Chardonnay from vines all in excess of 50 years of age on the eastern slopes in the Maconnais village of Verzé. This is a wine which exhibits none of the warmth of vintage.  There’s spearmint & whiffs of sea salt on the nose. The palate in the main is citrus driven with grapefruit to the fore.  It’s taut but lively with energy yet there’s no shortage of texture & mouthfeel.  There’s a long precise & commanding finish to the wine – the old vines in Verzé have performed most admirably here.
