Crudo. I hate carne crudo. So often on my plate when I visit Piedmont. It’s DOG FOOD.
Juicy, creamy, spicy, cracked pepper with red and blue fruits, maybe some violet? This is an unusually affable and approachable wine for Crudo, and gee, I like it for that. A little bit meaty, fennel and berries, a good grind of black pepper, smudgy tannin, with a lively finish of good length. Excellent.
