90-92 Points, Neal Martin (Galloni) - "The 2023 Volnay Clos des Chênes 1er Cru has a little more delineation than the Les Brouillards with a mixture of red and black fruit, sous-bois and floral scents. The palate is medium-bodied and quite bitter, with finer tannins than its peers, although it has decent tension and clarity. This has a touch of allspice and cracked black pepper on the finish. It should age well in bottle."
