2023 Domaine Joly Trousseau

Cedric at Domaine Joly is considered somewhat of a Trousseau specialist. He works exclusively with Trousseau à la Dame” widely considered the most complex & best clone of Trousseau.

Our previous shipment the 2022, graced some of Australia's finest restaurant wine lists & sold out very quickly.

The 2023 is full of crunchy raspberry, strawbeety & rhubarb, a faint dusting of white pepper & woodsmoke. It's a delicate, spotlessly clean & very elegant expression of Trousseau. Raised only in stainless steel - so little colour but so much delicate complexity.

94 Points, Kasia  Sobiesiak, TWF - "Not far from being defined as a rosé, it’s a colour quite easy on the eye. That coral hue gracefully carries notes that are wild and medicinal, savoury and meaty. Crochet of herbs with delicate wild berries works perfectly with the lacy tannin and texture. With its sous-bois character, sweet leaves, fennel seeds, and crunchy forest fruit, it is something of an alpine light red. Just lovely."
