2023 Domaine Joly Pinot Noir

Very limited - we in fact failed to acquire any on our previous shipment from Cedric at Joly.

93 Points, Kasia  Sobiesiak, TWF - "It feels like the fruit is dark and wild, from a damp forest. The texture is serious, and after some time, brightness comes through in the form of strawberries and refreshing acidity, but the wine retains its earthy theme. Flavour memory suggests a bitter amaro, plus a crunchy cherry, with hints of dusty woody notes and sarsaparilla. Cool flow, with a grip on the palate that freezes your taste buds for a moment until the savoury juice starts to flood the mouth again. Definitely worth exploring."

100% Pinot Noir & a relevant steal of a price compared to similar quality offerings from neighbouring Burgundy.  

Spotlessly clean, very alpine nose with bright red fruit some macerated strawberry & cranberry. Dusted with very fine powdery tannins & racy acidity.  It's crunchy & energetic - yet deceptively structural too.
