VERY LIMITED JUST 12 BOTTLES 

An excellent & highly regarded premier cru site in Morey-Saint-Denis it shares a similar soil profile to neighbouring Grand Cru Clos Saint Denis.  Sigaut’s plot has an average vine age of 40 years & produces small clusters of very concentrated fruit.  A bit of a favourite of ours, despite Sigaut being better known for this Chambolle wines.

91-93 Points, Burghound - “Ripe and relatively elegant aromas include those of mostly red berries and newly turned earth with a top note of kirsch. The overtly generous, succulent and rounded medium weight flavours also display evident power on the dusty, youthfully austere and decidedly firm but balanced finale. This is going to require at least moderate patience as it’s tightly wound today plus it could use better depth. Very promising.”

90-92 Points, Neal Martin (Vinous) – The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Millandes 1er Cru offers a harmonious bouquet with pure redcurrant, raspberry and wild hedgerow scents.  The palate is medium-bodied, with a pretty entry featuring red fruit mixed with allspice and clove. It has gentle grip and a nicely composed finish that needs time to absorb a patina of oak. Well crafted.” Drink 2027-2040
