Fruit from the lieu-dit La Chapelle des Bois in Fleurie cru.  The vines here are 60 years of age in shallow, stony, pink granite soils.  Vinification involves whole-cluster carbonic maceration in cement vats before typically moving to foudres for 12 months.

95 Points, Kasia Sobiesiak, TWF – “Black cherry, red plum and mulberry base, with just a tiny edge of decaying element, which adds interest and savouriness to the ripeness. On the periferies of the fruit, you’ll find fresh mint, a cinnamon stick, violets and a light dusting of white pepper. The flavour runs deep, with chalky tannins, akin in texture to goat cheese (pardon maybe slightly odd comparison). It all comes together as well-structured, balanced, engaging wine with character and drive.”

16.5 Jancis Robinson- "Smells of tobacco flowers. Hibiscus tea. Quite triangular acidity with a broad flare of fruit into a mouth-watering, damson-rich, damson-sharp finish. Drenched with fruit. Ridiculously great value."
