From 100+ year old vines on slate soil profile at 700m in Aragon.

Very limited just 12 bottles for Australia.

A stunning wine that despite being grenache & not nebbiolo - in many ways puts us in mind of the great Bruno Giacosa Riserva bottlings of the late 90s & early 2000s.

19/20 Jancis Robinson – “A study in delicacy. The tannin, still seeking full integration, is of exceptional quality – fine, precise and promising. The wine flows effortlessly across the palate, light yet expressive, with a refined chalky sensation building through the mid palate. The nose leans towards a more floral register, evoking dried flowers with a subtle, elegant perfume. Still very tight at this stage but clearly destined to unfold beautifully in bottle. A Garnacha of striking finesse – sharp, poised and exquisitely delicate – with a gentle ferrous touch lingering on the back palate. Simply magnificent.”

99 Points, Parker (Luis Gutiérrez) The nose of the 2023 El Jardín de las Iguales Garnacha is stunning and made me go back to the glass over and over again, as it kept changing and unfurling new layers every few minutes. It's perfumed and elegant, spicy à la Vosne-Romanée from the south, with aromas of wild flowers, red fruit freshness, aromatic herbs, curry, celery and even white flowers. It is long, complex and balanced, with very fine-boned, chalky tannins. It has contained ripeness and 12.5% alcohol. Weightless but with structure, power with elegance, it is the proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove. This is the most complete, most elegant and finest vintage of this wine since they started. It should develop beautifully in bottle and for a very long time. 1,399 bottles, 60 magnums and three double magnums produced

96 Points, Gary Walsh. The Wine Front - " This is a crazy interesting and engaging wine. It has a jamon savoury character, curry spice, rosehip tea, a whole range of dusty herbal things, cut red capsicum, redcurrant jelly and fresh raspberry, a cranberry nip to acidity, fine peppery tannin, umami almost seaweed salinity and raw hazelnut, crisp and lively, with a bright finish of excellent length. It builds and changes with time in glass. Almost an intellectual pursuit here, such is its distinctive character. I can’t think of any wine quite like it."
