94 Points, Tip Top Tipple - Gary Walsh (TWF) - "Red cherry, tangelo, salted almond, liquorice root, dried rose. It’s bright and tangy, distinctly saline, rosehip and cranberry, pink grapefruit, a fine white pepper grip to tannin, and also carries a little white pepper in the flavour department, and while it’s kind of a strict style of rosato, it does have succulence and carriage. There’s some venison/game meat savoury stuff too, and the finish is bright and long. It’s almost like an orange wine, rather than rosato, and while it’s not inexpensive, it’s also specific and very very good. Love this."

93 Points, Tom Kline (The Wine Pilot) – “100% Nebbiolo fruit from the volcanic soils of Gattinara in Alto Piemonte. Lovely copper orange colour. Amaro edged aromas of blood orange, cranberry and tangerine lead the charge with a faint orange blossom note in the background along with campari herbs. There’s a slatey mineral sense, too. The palate follows suit with a lovely bite of blood orange bitterness, before the pomegranate and tangerine notes mirror the nose. Great structure here, with a sheath of powdery Nebbiolo tannins framing the fruit from the moment the wine hits the palate, leading to an architectural finish carrying bitter orange peel notes long. Savoury and delicious. We all need more Nebbiolo Rosato in our lives, and they should look like this.”

16.5 Pts, Jancis Robinson (Walter Speller) – “Very pale salmon. Subtly perfumed raspberry and strawberry nose with saline notes and a pinch of spice. Fragrant and light and simply delicious.”

100% Nebbiolo fruit from the volcanic soils of Gattinara in Alto Piemonte.

Hints of sweetness such as Turkish delight on the nose, belying the ultra savoury palate.  It’s an essay in restraint with blood orange & tangerine tartness.  A crystalline texture of background salinity & pomegranate as it warms and shapes with also a little semi ripe strawberry.  It’s a vinous & delicate rosato that speaks more to white wine for sure than red, albeit there’s unquestionably some faint Nebbiolo tannin permeating, which adds texture & talc like qualities. It’s refreshing yet serious in a subdued fashion.
