92 Points, Jasper Morris MW – “Vinified like the Chazelle to put its terroirs in evident contrast, this is a tauter, more nervous style of Chardonnay. Le Clou is at least 100 meters higher than Chazelle, is east-facing and has more limestone. Sea breezes, hazelnuts, white grapefruit wedges and a hint of pastry dough amp up the complexity. These are 45-year-old vines with some younger ones mixed in, but there seems to be just as much concentration on the palate as the Chazelle.”

A new cuvee from Aline & a very good one at that.

A higher cooler site than Chazelle & a real contrast in style.  Racy &  very mineral.

Sourced from vines up to 45 years of age on a rocky and stony site.
