94 Points, Lisa Cardelli (The Wine Pilot) – “A vibrant garnet colour introduces a textbook Langhe Nebbiolo, made from fruit sourced exclusively from the village of Monforte and raised in the traditional way, with 12 months in Slavonian oak. Brimming with macerated rose petals, wild cherries, and cranberries, the nose is lifted by a gently rustic, wet terracotta note. The impeccable structure, coupled with an attractive fruit profile and fine, vibrant length, makes it so appealing now that it’s hard to see the point in waiting any longer.”

93 Points, Gary Walsh (TWF) - "Cherry, hazelnut, a little spice, rosy perfume and liquorice. It’s medium to full-bodied, has freshness, ample cherry and red fruit, a nutty sort of flavour too, supple but present tea-like tannin, and a juicy succulence of red fruits to close. Very good. They’ve done very well in 2022."

One of the most structural & Barolo like expressions of Langhe Nebbiolo to enter Australia each year.  Offering invariably excellent quality price ratio & significant cellaring potential in the context of Langhe Nebbiolo. The 2022 maintains that theme - it's a cracker.  This high cool site performing superbly in 2022.

A proven track record year in year out of ageing a treat & also receiving excellent critical reviews for its modest price point.  Always delivering a Barolo experience without the price tag.

This is all Barolo fruit from Monforte.  The only thing that prevents it being labelled Barolo is that it has not met the mandatory ageing requirements.  Grown in vineyards of significant height in Monforte at 430m.  Raised for 12 months in large Slavonian oak.
