2022 Ruggeri Corsini Dolcetto d'Alba

Very serious Dolcetto from an excellent growing season for the variety - 2022 has produced some of the finest Dolcetto we have tasted in recent years.

All Monforte fruit here from a special vintage.  The vines lay between 430-480m in Monforte.  Ruggeri Corsini take their Dolcetto production very seriously & have great pride in its release each year. 

93 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) - "Oooh, very Dolcetto with rich cherry, liquorice and spices, and some dried flower perfume. It’s chewy and flavoursome, a whole lot of cherry and red fruit, with some tobacco, stony tannin, balanced acidity and a lush finish of excellent length, This is a very good wine. It has some ferrous qualities and ‘mineral’ bits, and is so nicely turned out. It will age, for sure, but it’s great now too." Drink 2024-2029+
