2022 Quenard Claude et Fils 'Sansoufrir'
93 Points, Mike Bennie (The Wine Front) - "My brain jumped around from Loire chenin to topped up, young savagnin to timorasso and back to Chablis. Then it landed on something more alpine. But there’s this sumptuous feel to texture despite the friskiness, a honey lozenge kind of thing with distinct almond savouriness and camomile tea, then the yellow stone fruits, Golden Delicious apple and soft, preserved lemon notes. It’s got a kind of gourmand’s breadth and width and depth, something to settle into with pheasants and high country cheese and black bread with dried fruits and nuts on the side. A very special drink and so delicious."
