As strong a release as we can recall from this very consistent wine.  Platinetti consider 2023 a terrific vintage for their estate - bottling a riserva Ghemme in 2023 for just the second time in their history.

This release has all the alpine herb & ferrous minerality we associate with this wine but some extra freshness & suppleness.  Whereas sometimes this wine takes a little bottle age to soften it's balance provides for immediate enjoyment with the 2023 release.

100% declassified Ghemme nebbiolo fruit from the 45 to 55 year old vines on the glacial soils of Ronco al Maso cru in Ghemme (Alto Piemonte).
