Musso hit it out of the park with their Barbaresco wines in 2022.  Their 2022s may well even surpass their 2021s. They were a real hit with our tour group on the last Piedmont tour, where the group was taken aback by their elegance.  The ABVs are very low in the context of the vintage just 14% versus their 2021s which were 14.5%.

17+ Jancis Robinson (Walter Speller)- "Barbaresco. Healthy mid ruby. Firm and rich on the nose and compact at the same time. Still closed on the palate, too, but with a core of pure fruit that still needs to unfurl and rich, finely ground tannins. Lots of promise here." Drink 2028-2040

The palate is enveloping and rounded, delivering fleshy black cherry, blood orange, cake spice and star anise. Taut, fine-grained tannins offer seamless support".
