95 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) – “Raspberry, red cherry, rosy perfume. a fair amount of spice, a flicker of mint and thyme. It’s medium-bodied, all red fruits, fresh acidity, an open-weave chamois-like grip to tannin, although there’s some stoniness here too, finishing long with black tea and a touch of orange peel. An altogether impressive result given the nature of the vintage.”

A quite intense perfume of pomegranate, rhubarb and red liquorice, fresh blood, mace and an almost iodine-like character. The berry flavours are ripe and with an underlying rhubarb earthiness, a mild dusting of brown spice, fresh orange acidity, with subtle liquorice emerging on a lingering, savoury finish.
