95 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) – “Red fruit, redcurrant even, dried herbs, orange peel, some spice. It’s medium-bodied, strawberry and assorted red fruits, blood orange flavour and acidity, also a ‘mineral’ feel to it, it has a sort of nutty prosciutto character, a dusty tea-like grip to tannin, finishing long with fresh acidity and rusty tannin grip. Surprising freshness and finesse here. It’s a terrific wine. Well done Monchiero!”

The wine is fullish-bodied yet poised, succulent berry sweetness, blood orange, savoury dried meat elements and subtle spice stylishly combining on the palate with a fan of supple tannins and balsamic notes on a finish of excellent carry.
