93 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) – “A gentle wine from a warm vintage. I’m thinking cherry, craisins, mint, some white pepper, dried flowers. It’s medium-bodied, has some poached strawberry and spice, a light dusting of tannin, with a peanut and ripe strawberry finish of good length, cinched with some dried herb and orange peel.”

100% Roere di Santa Maria cru from a site which is flourishing in recent vintages under the watchful eye of Luca Monchiero.  The tannins are fine & svelte.  It’s a red fruited release with cherry cranberry notes. Very elegant no doubt, speaking of La Morra & a very good cru at that.
