This is an entry level wine in name only really – as the fruit is a mix of 1er Cru Puligny, Meursault & a vineyard bordering Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières. It’s extremely rare to find a wine of Bourgogne classification which is an assembly of such terroirs as this. A wine of great tension & piercing minerality not dissimilar at all to its neighbour Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières
94 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) – “White peach, green mango, mint, chamomile, hazelnut, plus a little spice. This is fresh, yet juicy, an almond-laced and citrus experience, creamy cashew, fine flinty texture, a cool feel to acidity, with a nutty and saline finish of excellent length and precision. This is not your average BB, and way better than most. It’s calm and composed and tastes proper. Not inexpensive but so impressive.”
