95 Points, 5 Stars – Stephen Blandford (for Huon Hooke) The Real Review – “It is bright straw yellow in colour. There is a pristine bouquet of lemon myrtle, grapefruit and a hint of nectarine, chalky minerality, salted cashew and light waxy and nougat scents. It is pretty richly textured on the palate with excellent depth of citrusy fruit, tangy acidity and a vigorous undercurrent of salinity, the finish long, savoury and mouth-watering.”

The 2022 Lacrime has Sea spray & estuarine notes; the saline traits are really pronounced as always with this Cru.   But also limey & other citrus characters.  As always it's textural & generous through the mid-palate but with the searing Lacrime length (wide & long like great White Burgundy). It's so savoury yet still concentrated in its fruit. This is a knockout release which will age superbly under its screwcap closure. Boveri hope it will obtain Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso again like the 2020.
