Second & final shipment.

100% Jacquère drawn exclusively from limestone soils, a very old site planted in 1919. Very straight & long. With citrus fruits to the fore it's racey and saline.  Lovers of good Chablis will find great pleasure here.

93 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) - "It’s kind of juicy fruity, pie apple, but also has ripe grapefruit and a distinctly saline character, some honey and chamomile tea. Light, a little bit glossy, but with a nice bite to acidity, honey and lemon, has a some crushed rock texture, and again all that brine with some aromatic green herbs to close on a finish of good length. Interesting wine. At first, I didn’t think I liked it, but then it grows on you and that saline thing and texture creeps up on you and keeps you coming back."

93+ Points, Tom Kline (The Wine Pilot) - "The name ‘Apremont 1248’ is an homage to the nights of November 24th and 25th, 1248, when a huge landslide covered part of the Chambéry Gorge and the Grésivaudan Valley, forming a 900 metre high cliff, the highest in France. ‘Apremont’ apparently means ‘bitter mountain’ in French. Cool!100% Jacquère. Bruised apple, walnut, pear, honeysuckle and apple blossom are underpinned by an emergent and building brininess adding savoury dimension. Some kumquat, a twist of orange and a glimmer of pastry dough as it warms. It's bright, fresh, and pure on the palate which largely mirrors the nose. Fresh apple and salinity lead the charge as it glides through the mouth, buoyed by a clean and persistent line of apple-drenched acid. There’s a good mixture of tension and fruit here, culminating in a mineral edge and nice length. Weighing in at a breezy 11.5% ABV, this is bright, pure, and very moreish. A delicious Jacquère."
