2023 Cantina Delsignore Metodo Classico Extra Brut Rose

The 2023 Delsignore Metodo Classico Extra Brut Rose is a 3gram dosage, 100% Nebbiolo sparkling which spends twelve months on lees then sees further bottle ageing before release.

The fruit is all from the volcanic soils of Gattinara (Alto Piemonte).  This mineral rich soil imparts of a beautiful talc texture & mouthfeel the equal of great champagne but at a fraction of the price of those bottlings.

Scents of summer strawberry basket, pink grapefruit, pink peach, pomegranate skin and crunchy gingerbread, light petrichor aroma or is it drying clay, oregano and cherry pip. The fruit feels quite ripe in the finish, but on the way there, you have plenty of crunch, fine mousse and mouthwatering, light dusty texture. The varietal mark shines through with the perfume, and the autolytic notes provide support in the background. One of those wines that can be serious and elegant at a fine dining restaurant, and super playful and frisky on a beach blanket.”
