100% declassified Gattinara nebbiolo from an excellent Alto Piemonte vintage.  Stefano declassifies this wine not based on fruit but based on cellar space - he simply does not have the storage space in his tiny cellar to allow this fruit to age long enough to be released as a Gattinara.

17/20 Jancis Robinson (Walter Speller) – “From a Nebbiolo vineyard with over 80-year-old vines. Aged for 12 months in old tonneaux. Pale ruby. Beautiful, earthy red-fruit nose. Subtle yet concentrated raspberry fruit on the palate. Super-elegant and yet lush with gritty tannins adding sparkle to the finish.”
