The bouquet is slightly darker than those of other wines in the range, but precise and finely etched with wild herbs, fennel and fresh plum alongside hints of blood orange, almond blossom and mountain flowers. The palate is compact and somewhat more muscular than other Frontonio wines, yet still agile. Notes of sour cherry define the core, while the finish remains long and clear. On the more structured side of the Frontonio house style, the 2023 combines mountain freshness with notable depth and grip."

18.5/20 Points, Jancis Robinson – “Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Peluda and Cariñena from the village of Alpartir. Very old vines, over 85 years of age, with an average yield of 1,800 kg/ha. Vinified with 100% whole bunches, with foot treading at the start of fermentation for gentle extraction. Spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks, followed by a long and delicate maceration. Aged in neutral oak foudres in underground cellars.
Tasted blind. A delicate, soft and fluid wine in a burgundian style. Notes of dried flowers, a marked mineral character and very precise winemaking. I appreciate its fine, flowing nature – almost ethereal in texture. A wine of finesse and depth. It benefits from decanting, as the initial nose was quite closed, but it opens quickly. Exceptionally refined, showing a style rarely seen in the region. Truly delicious, and capable of competing with the finest wines on any table.”

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2548/4596/files/FrontonioLaTejera2022_d5906590-2073-4b0d-b929-c4ae3b471b70.png?v=1760247321
