A stunning old vine Garnacha (Grenache) from 75+ year old vines at 620m on slate & limestone soils in Aragon.  Red fruited & ethereal in every sense.

96 Points, Galloni – “The 2023 Garnatxa La Cerqueta from Aragón offers a delicate profile with notes of soap, potpourri, herbs, subtle spice and red cherry. Fine reactive tannins supported by stems shape a red with character and flavor. This is a personal, terroir-driven Garnatxa with surprising expression.”

96 Points, Parker – “There's a jump in elegance in the red 2023 La Cerqueta, which displays a beautiful bright and pale ruby color and a floral, perfumed and nuanced nose. It is super open, expressive and aromatic, with notes of wild flowers and a touch of blood orange. Yields were a lot lower this year in this vineyard, picked at the right moment. They also did a lighter maceration this year, and the palate is finer-boned and very pretty, with very elegant tannins, superb balance and a long, tasty, clean and precise finish. This is a clear step up in this single-vineyard wine. This is the best vintage so far—it's a beauty. 1,510 bottles and 33 magnums were filled in July 2023.”
