95 Points, Kasia Sobiesiak (The Wine Front) – “There’s a considerable density in aromas and flavours in this wine. Yellow peaches, baked apples, almond nougat, lemon zest biscuits and orange blossom. It has a very pretty perfume, so much nuance. The ripeness is spot on here, and even though it is noticeable with hints of green tropical fruit skins, the flavours are crisp and stony, and the finish is dry with a hint of salinity—placed in a perfect spot to cause next-sip-salivation.”

Chazelle is derived from the Old French "Case/Chese," meaning house. As this locality is situated near the departmental road that follows the route of the Roman road to Cluny, it's conceivable that there were small farms or Roman settlements in this area.

Vine Age: 45 years, partly from mass selection

Exposure: East facing Terroir characteristics: Plot located halfway up the slopes. 15% slope. Clay-limestone soil, slightly marly; small surface pebbles. Well-drained.

Aging: 25% in tanks; 75% in barrels. just 15% new oak for the final blend
