Twenty-four hours later, the wine shifted toward darker fruit, tar, light smoke and hints of dried herbs or eucalyptus, all while retaining its remarkable tension and precision as the first signs of tertiary complexity began to emerge. The additional richness never comes at the expense of elegance. The precision of this wine reflects a philosophy the estate has embraced since 2016, placing greater emphasis on sensory evaluation of phenolic ripeness rather than analytical measurements alone.
