2021 Mark Haisma Pernand-Verglesses Les Pins Rouge

Exciting new wine to the Haisma range, it's certified organic & a real gem.

Bill Nanson - "A rare red from – 30% whole bunch here.The pines of the label are visible in the aromas – In the mouth too – lots of greenery but not pyrazine – broad and interesting wine."

90-92 Points Neal Martin (Galloni) - "The 2021 Pernand-Verglesses Les Pins, from deep clay soils, was made with 30% whole bunches.  This has a relatively light, elegant bouquet with dark berry hints of Earl Grey. The palate is well balanced, with fine tannins, quite cohesive. An unapologetic peppery notes emanates from the stems on the finish. Delicious but it deserves time in bottle." Drink 2025-2033

Jasper Morris 4 Stars - 89-91 Pts - "Old vines, 20% stems included, pale in colour but a beautifully elegant light red fruit nose, plus some white pepper, then a tighter drier finish before the fruit floods back. Little baby raspberries, leading to a long and fine finish". Drink from 2025-2027. 

Jancis Robinson 16+- "Certified organic. Same grower as the Pernand En Caradeux. Better known for Chardonnay but the grower’s parents replanted to Pinot in the late 1950s. Deep, white clay, south-west-facing. Tank sample.Lightish crimson. Herbal wild-strawberry nose. Tight, dry tannins, mouth-watering restraint and still in balance. Tannins are firmer than in the Bourgogne. Needs a little longer. (JH) Drink 2025-2031
