Lands late September.

95 Points, James Suckling – “Complex nose of dark berry fruit, olives, dark chocolate, paprika and hazelnuts. It’s deep, composed and focused, with a medium body and a firm tannin frame. Long and thoughtful. Serious Gevrey from old vines (around 80-years-old). Try this from 2025.

92-94 Pts Jasper Morris - "50-60% whole bunch and a touch of reduction, just a mild rubbery note. There is an energy to the fruit here that is really impressive while for the moment the whole bunches are having their say. Nothing green though, just a wine which still needs a fair amount more elevage. Drink from 2026-2032. "

17 Jancis Robinson - "Certified organic. Haisma’s own vines and old vines, next to Ruchottes. Highest part of Fonteny, which has thin limestone soils. 50% whole bunch. Tiny yields. Tiny berries that give a denser, darker fruit character. Tank sample.
Mid crimson. There is a touch of reduction here, says Haisma, but it doesn’t obscure the rich and unexpectedly ripe-tasting fruit. Tastes ripe on the palate, too, with some dried fruit as well as fresh fruit. Stands out from the other wines in its style. Deep, dark and savoury. Great richness for a 2021 but no lack of freshness. Long, too. I actually prefer the style of Haisma’s other wines in 2021 but this is very good in a completely different style, even more distinctive in 2021". (JH)

Bill Nanson- "Between Dugat-Py and Bruno Clair – 0.3 ha. Big and broad, higher toned and at the same time a bit of reduction. I like the width and shape of this – I think it needs a bit more elevage but it will be lovely – it has to be, it’s Fonteny"
