100% nebbiolo from very old vines & the flagship wine from Giacomo Marchiori.  The 2021 release is from a spectacular vintage & it's a more elegant release from Giacomo than his 2020. An outstanding young emerging producer & this is his best work to date.

94 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) - "Here’s Nebbiolo in a lighter framework. It’s tight and a little tangy, a cranberry bite to acidity, redcurrant, cherry, a liquorice root perfume comes up with some air. Tannin is fine and dusty, a slight peppery feel to them, and there’s some blood orange and juniper berry tang on cool finish of excellent length. Distinctive style of wine. Really good too, though you have to like them on the more frisky side of the ledger."

94 Points, Tom Kline (The Wine Pilot) - "Cherry ripe, dusty earth, and dried cranberry make way for game meat and an ashy nuance in a savoury and slightly rustic opening. Air unlocks a cherry stone minerality giving the aromas lift and shape, along with an umami bite and a glimmer of tomato leaf in the background. The palate has a lifted and cooling mineral feel with eager and nervy tannins asserting from the outset to wrap around a burst of cherry, cranberry, earth, and subtle mocha. These assertive chalky tannins constrict the mouth before yielding to a cleansing line of cherry acidity which draws freshness and length. There’s a nice balancing act between rustic charm and mineral energy here. Slightly nervy now, and packed with interest which should only increase as the wine unfolds in cellar."
