2021 Fiorenzo Nada Manzola Barbaresco
Very limited with just 90 bottles coming to Australia.
Galloni on the 2021s at Nada - "This is a strong set of new releases from Bruno and Danilo Nada. The 2021 Barbarescos are especially fine in the way they marry power and finesse. Harvest for the Nebbiolos took place from October 15 to 24. As has been the case for a few years now, the Barbarescos spend two years in cask. "
94 Points, Galloni - "The 2021 Barbaresco Manzola is a gorgeous, super-classic wine from Bruno and Danilo Nada. Tense and vibrant in the glass, the 2021 offers up scents of chalk, white pepper, mint, orange peel, spice and vibrant red-toned fruit. Readers will find a sinewy wine built more on tension than volume, a sort of Volnay-like expression in the Langhe."
Manzola is one of the great Crus of Treiso (Barbaresco), in contrast to Rombone its stablemate at Nada, Manzola is all about freshness & lift. As such it's often a delight in relative youth - however will age magnificently too. Always a very mineral bottling - the mix of Michet & Lampia clones invaraibly add to the complexity of Manzola each release.
