2024 Eric Forest Pouilly Fuissé 1er Cru 'Les Crays' (PRE-ARRIVAL ONLY)

From one of the most revered Pouilly Fuissé sites. Biodynamically farmed from old plots planted in 1930 & 1966 on a rocky hillside - the soil is composed of limestone & blue marl. It's a special site. Invariably these very old vines produce tiny yields but fruit of incredible intensity.

Oatmeal, lemon curd & lemon rind.  There’s some plushness but yet it’s chiselled with sheets of slate like stony textures.  Almost a meal in glass but finishes with real freshness, great acidity & length.

Vinification with native yeasts in barrels (20% new oak). Aging is for 12 months in barrels without racking (little bâtonnage)
