2021 Domaine Tortochot Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Aux Charmes

Tortochot owns a small plot of approx. 0.2ha this excellent Premier Cru field, which is situated just up the Grand Cru field of Mazoyères-Chambertin in the more famous neighbouring commune of Gevrey Chambertin to the north.

17 Points Jancis Robinson - "Cask sample. Pale garnet. There's a little bit of grunt here. Lots of nuance to enjoy. It definitely tastes of Morey with that gypsy-cream biscuit plus orange-peel flavour. Good balance and flattering with some spine too."  Drink 2026-2042 

Bill Nanson (does not score wines) - "Fine, delicate red fruit a certain shyness but still direct and becoming perfumed. Generous flavour again, framed with a fine, ripe tannin - that's a delicious wine - lovely!"
