2021 Chapelle de Blagny Blagny 1er Cru Sous le dos d'âne

Deep concentrated Pinot from 30 year old vines in Blagny, one of the few appellations better known for Chardonnay production that is capable of of producing very high quality 1er cru & ageworthy reds.  Darker forest berries here on display which eat up the 30% new oak.  Sure it's a bit of a tight right now but there's clear signs of a beautiful Red Burgundy in the making.
