2021 Castello di Verduno Barolo

A superb release from magnificent, much like Kerin O'Keefe (below) this is the finest release we have tasted yet from Castello di Verduno.

95 Points, Kerin O'Keefe - "The classic Castello di Verduno 2021 Barolo is fragrant and loaded with finesse, starting with its beautiful aromas of violet, rose, perfumed berry and a whiff of eucalyptus. Savory and elegantly structured, the bright palate features succulent red cherry, pomegranate, cake spice and star anise before closing on a note of blood orange. Taut, refined tannins and tangy acidity provide balance. To date this is the best straight Barolo I've had from the estate" Abv: 14%

Fluid, intense raspberry with damson hints on the palate. Elegant and with beautifully sculpted chewy tannins on the finish. Long and complex and multi-layered. "
