95 Points, Kerin O'Keefe- "The 2020 del Comune di Castiglione Falletto from Monchiero is a fantastic wine. It opens with heady aromas of blue flower, dog rose, forest berry and dark spice. Smooth and full-bodied, the rounded, delicious palate doles out fleshy raspberry, red cherry, licorice and tobacco alongside velvety tannins. Showing the accessible nature of the vintage, this is already nearing the start of its ideal drinking window where it will stay for several years or more."

95 Points, Lisa Cardelli (The Wine Pilot) - "The fruit for this Barolo comes from three hectares within the Penanno Cru. Compared to the other two, it is the most complete, displaying multiple layers of polished fruit, earth, sand, and clay-like, with great structure and concentration. Tannins are grippy, and acidity is super bright. There is an excellent back of palate and full fruit power."

94 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) - "Raspberry, ripe strawberry, a distinct almond biscotti and rose perfume, gentle earthiness too. It’s medium-bodied, succulent in red fruit, a fine but supple dusty grip to tannin, lots of perfume with an earl grey tea thing happening, again the strawberry dusted with icing sugar, mint, but then it pulls savoury and dry on a finish of excellent length. Very nice. Maybe not a wine for ageing, but so delicious now. So approachable and accessible. Kind of yum."
