2023 Jérôme Arnoux Chardonnay 'Initial' Arbois

This is a ‘topped up’ Jura with 80% stainless steel & 20% old wood elevage. From a soil profile which is 50% Triassic clay, 50% Bajocian limestone.

Faintest whiff fino on the nose.  The palate is tight & compact with salinity, lemon, lime & some background walnut notes & dried fig.  This is proper Jura Chardonnay but also has some neighbouring Burgundian traits too.
