95 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front. One of my favourite producers from Jura. Intensity and complexity are themes. Very potent white wines, layers and layers to them. This is chardonnay on marl, with some limestone and clay. Topped up year one then not topped up for three years or so before bottling. Oxidative characters in spades. Importer: Mosaique

Like baby vin jaune with superb drinkability. Hazelnut, fino sherry, gingery spice, lime on green apple, a general white blossom floral character too. It’s crystalline in texture, the acidity so piercing and refreshing and yet this cavalcade of hazelnut and dried and fresh apple around it. Of an ilk, yes, but so outstanding in its way.
