100% nebbiolo from the volcanic soils of Gattinara (Alto Piemonte), a stunning elegant & intensely mineral release from Stefano Dorelli.

17.5/20 Jancis Robinson (Walter Speller) – “100% Nebbiolo aged for 30 months in 16- and 29-hl Slavonian oak casks. Just mid ruby. Complex raspberry nose that is still a little brooding and with a hint of old leather. Compact red fruit that is completely dry and slowly opening up on the finish. Tannins so fine as if ground with a pestle. Very long and focused and still needs time for the tannins to settle, but this is greatness in the making. "

It’s medium-bodied, cherry, rhubarb and strawberry, a fine pumice stone grip to tannin, a little orange peel and spice, with a fresh finish of excellent length. Fragrant, fine, and distinctly mineral. Really good.”
