2020 Benjamin Leroux Bourgogne Rouge Magnum 1500

JancisRobinson.com - Fruit from Pommard and Volnay and tiny part from St-Romain, on clay soils. Bright mid cherry; red-berried fruits, crunchy fruit and acidity inside a well-formed structure. An attractive bitter note on the finish.

Jasper Morris - Fresh vibrant purple, riotously juicy fruit on the nose, exuberant but lovely. Medium plus in body, all red fruit on the palate, just right acidity and tannins are hardly showing. Textbook!

Charles Curtis MW, Decanter - A marvellous result, with a lovely plummy fruit, a hint of mineral and a bit of spice. The texture is totally Burgundian - light, ephemeral, but hauntingly long on the palate. Produced from a variety of parcels that total 3ha. The fruit is carefully fermented and aged in large oak uprights without racking.
