Deeper set and more intense than the rosso, though in a similar vein. Dried and decaying red rose, balsamic, lavender, ferrous drive, dried cherry. Good balance of intensity and detail on the palate - balsamic, morello cherry, lavender, and rose again. The tannins are firm but filigree and the finish is long and detailed.
