95+ Points, Gary Walsh - "This is a darker, denser and more firmly structured release than is usual, though it still carries the dried flower and alpine perfume that’s typical of the wines. Cherry and dark raspberry, an ultra-mineral expression with cool glassy acidity, tight ironstone tannin, dried herbs and orange zest add complexity, and the finish is very long, packed with dense tannin and crisp cranberry acidity. Outstanding. One for the ages." Drink 2028-2039+

La Palazzina had painfully low yields in the super 2019 vintage but the resultant wines are superb & the finest yet we have encountered from Paolo.

The 2019 is a deceptively structural release Bramaterra, as the elegance & easy accessibility of the wine belies its underlying structure.  The nose has lavender, potpourri & the classic alpine herb (pine needle) traits. Succulent red fruit sits comfortably alongside the savoury dried herbs character of the wine.  There's ferrous & balsamic notes - super mineral.  And very long. A brilliant & beautifully poised / balanced release from an exceptional vintage.

The cepage is 80% Nebbiolo, 10% Croatina & 10% Vespolina from vines planted in 1935, 1950 & 1986.

Raised in large old oak. The alcohol is 12.66%.
