2019 Giacomo Boveri Derthona Munta l'Ruma

Very limited. Single vineyard 100% Timorasso from Tortona.

A more restrained edition of the Munta in 2019.  Lime, lemon verbena, white stone fruits, hazelnut & a very slatey (stony) finish. 

94 Points Mike Bennie - "Beautiful whiffs of anise, lemon barley water, tonic water, hazelnuts (a little salty?!). The palate echoes this beautifully but perhaps a larger squeeze of citrus and a lick of nectarine in there too. In all that, minerally things, saline, slightly stony, just beautifully put and exceptional in its persistence of those ephemeral characters. It’s texturally quite tight though there’s a light juiciness too – it does two speeds, and then some. Magic"

95 Points, James Suckling (Ned Goodwin) - "Superb nose of mirabelle and match-struck flint, yet nothing untoward. Mid-weighted of feel, despite the generous mouthfeel. The pungent undercarriage is mineral, tensile and crunchy, liberating tangerine, white florals and spiced quince, framed by gently waxy seams. This is interchangeable in many ways, with a good white Burgundy such is the structural latticework, poise and scintillating length. Fine gear". Drink or hold.
