95 Points, Tip Top Tipple, Top Value - Kasia Sobiesiak (TWF) - "Such a tantalising perfume, condensed core of aromas, that keeps on giving. Dark cherries, cranberries, dried peppermint, cumin and just a hint of leather with boot polish. Surely, roses are here too and a note of iodine holding the tension of the aromas. Generous red brick dust tannins with blood orange grip finish. Delicious. Clean form with instant charm and delivering lots of well-defined flavours. In my opinion, it’s super ready to enjoy now but definitely will age. Looks like a great value too, even though the price has been creeping up."

It is a super-appealing combination to say the least. Wild dark cherry, spice, leather, tobacco, menthol, insense & licorice all build with a bit of coaxing. A stunning release from an exceptional Alto Piemonte vintage. 

The elegant & red fruited nature of this wine is a foil to the underlying power & minerality of the wine.  Rose water & violets giving way to some of that classic alpine herb in the background.  It’s succulent but also exhibiting savoury cherry notes.  Very long with balsamic & ferrous notes giving way a very stony feel to the finish.  A really stellar release from Stefano.  Drink 2024-2040+
