The flagship bottling from Valloni. An extraordinarily youthful museum release from the superb 2016 vintage.  As it's so primary still, this may well be a 50 year wine. 

Certified organic from 50+ year old vines in on volcanic soils in Boca (Alto Piemonte).  The cepage is the most traditional of Boca - 70% nebbiolo, 20% vespoline & 10% uva rara.

A stunning wine, representative of the amazing ageing potential to be found in Alto Piemonte.

18.5/20 Jancis Robinson - "Impossibly youthful for a 2016. This is cool and elegant, with tart red fruit fragrant with woodsy, floral notes and sotto bosco earthiness. The crunchy acidity makes it mouth-watering, long and vibrant; the tannins are gauzy and fine."

95 Points, Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) - "Cherry, menthol, alpine herbs, almond, a sweet floral perfume wafts about, and there’s also something distinctly ‘mineral’ and stony about it. It’s medium-bodied, fine graphite tannin, a little bit nutty, a cinch of amaro twang, raspberry and cherry, a subtle juiciness, though it pulls savoury too, with a nutty earthy character and excellent length, and a twist of orange peel to close. Distinctive and fine. Very good."
