2016 Domaine de La Madone Fleurie 'Madone' Vielle Vignes

Importer’s notes on Madone: The Despres ‘Fleurie’ is consistently fleshy, fine and juicy from Beaujolais’ purest pink granite terroir utilising traditional production techniques drawing on their sixty to eighty-year-old goblet trained vines. These elements combine to give this wine a dimension, character and interest not usually associated with Beaujolais. Elegantly spicy and cherry-infused, its velvety texture with blue-fruits is akin to Burgundy in the glass.
